Case Title:
I don't want to go see your family EVERY time
Plaintiff Side:
My significant other, Amanda, and I have been together for almost 10 years now. I feel like we have built a very solid relationship but to be honest I hate her family. They are such straight laced, religious people, I never can be myself around them. To me any time around them feels like a waste of time. I have tried explaining the Amanda how I feel, but she still insists that I come with her to every family function to “show my support”. I agree that I should show myself at some occasions, but EVERY occasion?
Defendant Side:
Lisa needs to realize that not everything is about her and when your in a relationship, there are consequences that you make out of love for your partner. That is all I’m asking of her. I know she doesn’t like my parents that much, but just the fact that she knows it would please me, I think she should consider it. I go with her to every family function… I may not have as many issues…but they still aren’t my family, so therefore, of course I wouldn’t necessarily want to be there all the time, but I go without complaint because I love her.
